Each Wet Plate image is it’s own unique piece, no two can be created just alike. The Chemistry will flow across the plate creating it’s own look, flaws and all. The most interesting part of this process is that you never know what you get until the plate is finished! It is important to be able to see the beauty of the image through whatever the Chemistry creates. It is not like todays digital photography with editing and filters, if you want to see your perfectly retouched self, go for a digital session, (which can then possibly be made into a tintype / ambrotype plate after you get the perfect pose and edit.)

Seeing your image appear right in front of your eyes is magical, I can’t wait to see your reaction when it’s in the fix! Following the session I will need to wash, dry, shellac, and cure your plates, they can then be picked up or mailed out. Each piece will be completed within two weeks of your shoot date. Watch my social media after your session, I love to post some behind the scenes images and videos whenever possible!
